Spreading the Gospel through Art
Stewart/Loflin accompanies faith-based artists by seeking sponsors and support for projects that foster a more grace-filled world.
Currently, we’re blessed to support the collaboration of famed Catholic artist Timothy Schmalz, sponsor Barbara Papitto, author Karen Kiefer, and illustrator Nancy Cote. Together, they’ve shaped The Gospel Gardens project: 14 colossal sculptures and a new children’s book, a tangible invitation for people of all ages to encounter the Stations of the Cross
The Promise in the Gospel Gardens
The Promise in the Gospel Gardens joyfully encourages families to experience Jesus’ great, big, loving embrace through the Stations of the Cross. The book emerged through the partnership of award-winning author Karen Kiefer, acclaimed illustrator Nancy Cote, and artist Timothy Schmalz.
As you wander the Gospel Gardens and meet the sponsor, Barbara Papitto, join Rose and Sebastian in listening for Jesus’ gentle, intimate whisper.
The Gospel Gardens
The epic project that inspired The Promise includes life-size representations of Jesus on the day of His crucifixion. The fourteen colossal sculptures follow Jesus through the traditional Stations of the Cross. Each station becomes the principal event in the foreground, while the detailed landscapes in the background highlight key moments to illustrate the full story of the Gospel.
